NCI: A carcinoid tumor characterized by a high mitotic rate, often associated with the presence of necrosis and nuclear pleomorphism.,NCI: A malignant neuroendocrine neoplasm arising from enterochromaffin cells in the gastrointestinal tract and (less common) in the bronchi exhibiting atypia.
